The Final Countdown

Three days to go. OMG. Oh my goodness. I think every box is almost ticked. Some things we are leaving to chance. Like the song list because I trust the band and want them to do their thing. Like my earrings which I am borrowing from my lovely sister Philippa. Like exactly what we are doing with the flowers and how we are going to mark the path with bouquets and foliagy bits. But I am still hammering out my vows and I think this might be the hardest task of all. I'm great with logistics but I find it much easier to show people what I am feeling rather than to recite or speak the words. When I sit down to try and crystalise my emotions into a few intense lines I freeze and so many feelings rush in. Today I finish work. That leaves two days, 48 hours, for any last minute changes to the most important words of my life. Pressure? Yes. So maybe I'll distract myself by seeing the almost finished rings this week and I'll sleep knowing the fairy lights have been hired and the transport is sorted. Like I said, I love my logistics.
