Here's a problem: our wedding venue accommodation has no electricity. As deluxe safari tents they feature every comfort but no, dramatic pause here, hairdryers. For the bridal party of my mother, my sister and my mother-in-law this is an issue. Oh yes and for the bride, that would be me. So, I need a local hairdresser who can deliver emergency styling and turn four girls with beach hair into goddesses in a hurry at Paperbark Camp in Jervis Bay on December 12th...
Thankfully makeup is fine. Tatianna, the uber beauty stylist I found is a former model so she knows how to create makeup that shoots well but still looks natural. A few weeks ago I went to see her a for a trial run and I liked the look. It's pretty important that you still look like yourself, a better version of you but still you.
But hair is still up in the air. I know for sure I am not wearing a veil but as I have not chosen (or should I say borrowed from my sister) the earrings yet, it's kind of hard to say how the hair will look. No ringlets. No super tight chignons. No dramatic highlights. And maybe that seems conservative, yet classic and modern wins over time. But hey, first things first, we need a hairdresser on the ground at the venue. Otherwise we'll all be wearing pony tails dripping with sea water.
