Our Song & Dance

Kate doesn't want to risk stacking on the dance floor like Kelly Osborne.

Our Song & Dance

I cannot divulge the song that Eb and I consider to be "our song". The reason for this is that I want to keep a few surprises up my sleeve for the big day. But maybe I could hold a raffle on those who could guess it from the song list on our wedding band's website?

The wedding band we have hired are called Suite az (www.suiteazentertainment.com) and were a discovery for us at the Piano Bar. Their repetoire covers everything from ACDC to Bob Marley and Nina Simone. I am not quite sure how they do the Lenny Kravitz song "It aint over" without a string section but I feel completely relaxed that they will have everyone up and dancing.

And yes, Eben and I do dance, but I still don't want to do "the" dance. I have three weeks. I mean to could get lessons but, honestly, would it make a difference? Probably not. I have two left feet and can only tolerate all eyes on me if I am doing something that feels natural. Maybe that's weird. I can give a speech, I can sing, but the idea of a slow dance with Eben with everyone watching. Um, pass. One thing I have learnt by attending weddings as a guest is that you do not want too many stop and start moments. So whatever happens spontaneously on the day happens but we will not be off to Arthur Murray in a hurry. Let's leave that with those who dig 'Dancing With The Stars'.
